Handmade Silver Icons - Custom Made & By Order Only

The Byzantine Collection of handmade silver icons is by far the most prestigious Collection of the Kalopedis Family. All of the Christian, religious icons are fully hand made by Michalakis and George Kalopedis. These Greek Orthodox icons follow the traditional "Byzantine art" style that relates directly with the Church icons that can be found in any Greek Orthodox Church. They are made with the method of metal revetment in order to further adorn the symbolism behind each Saint or representation of Jesus and Mary.

To create this type of byzantine art, we begin with only a plain flat piece of Silver and work on every silver icon for at least one week. This procedure is the family tradition that has been passed down from father to son since 1888. Every religious, Cristian Greek Orthodox silver icon, is hand crafted to reflect a divine religious image and an empirical byzantine look and feel. These artifacts is what represents the Kalopedis tradition the most.
