Dear Friends,

It is a great joy for the Kalopedis family to reach out from the small, beautiful island of Cyprus in order to share with the rest of the world a tradition that started in 1888 and has been passed down from father to son for five generations. Cyprus has on display 11,000 years of history, culture and tradition. It is a Greek island with many cultural influences and with ancient traditions in the making of fine Jewellery. Our family name has become a synonym for quality and impeccable craftsmanship.

Throughout the years we have also worked to beautify the island of Cyprus with ecclesiastic and decorative art. With the highest respect to Christianity we are great contributors to churches and individuals. From handmade silver icons created with the technique of hammering along the lines of Byzantine art, to various other instruments. The silversmiths in our family have created well-known important creations, such as the silver cross at the monastery of Staurovouni. One of the most important places for Christianity, as it is one that contains a piece of the holy cross, that the Saints Helen and Constantine left on the island.

However, the Kalopedis family is also using the technique of hammering not only in the making of icons, but also in creating other forms of decorative art. From traditional bowls decorated with hammered grapes and flowers, to plates decorated with icons that represent various aspects of the Greek culture. The traditional art of filigreeing is also held in our family. The Kalopedis brand also keeps up with the modern trends in jewelry design as we offer a modern line from which one can select beautiful personal jewelry and decorative art.

As a member of the fifth generation of a family of great goldsmiths and silversmiths, I welcome you to this new relationship with the past which, in these modern days, can be seen as unique and hard to find in the world. What we offer you is a tremendous amount of culture and tradition to accompany your selections from our prestigious collection. This is what makes the person who owns a piece that was made by us special. We welcome you to our family.
